Across the street from our apartment is an abandoned medical facility with rundown industrial equipment rusting away, frequently being tagged by the local gangs in the area. The picture seemed like a piece of modern art in my mind, with the artists signature at the bottom of the work.

A picture from a wedding I shot last year. I loved the bride's patient expression as the groom and DJ get the last details banged out.

An unforgettable moment on a visit to an extremely rural village in southern China. This boy was among a group of children who had gathered around us. We had lost track of him but found him standing in the doorway holding his family's portrait. Quite an amazing experience to share with him.

<img src="http://joshpritchardphotography.com/thumbnails/thumb_20090926075739_villagelady.jpg"><br/>
While walking around a very poor rural Chinese mining village in southern China, I happened upon a curious older lady who apparently had never seen a foreigner before. She was a bit shy but willing to stand and let me take a few shots of her with the fields that she works in filling the background.

On one of our last trips before leaving China in July of 2008, we got to visit a friend's family. We were greeted by her sweet grandma, who put on the beautiful traditional Chinese suit and began to sing a Chinese Christian hymn of welcome for us. It was an amazing experience.

On one of my many photo excursions around Nanchang in 2008, I caught these two interested young women curiously watching me take photos - of them.

<img src="http://joshpritchardphotography.com/thumbnails/thumb_20090926082041_chinese-tea-eggs.jpg"><br/>
Chinese tea eggs, or Cha Dan, are a well known inexpensive breakfast favorite found all over the country. The eggs are hard-boiled and soaked in tea, giving them a distinct flavor.

On top of Lu Shan mountain sit several lakes carved into the small valleys in between the multitude of peaks. As we walked down towards this lake, we saw a man fishing in the fog of the morning.
